Samsung Is Finally Dumping The Headphone Jack

You might not be able to fold your Samsung Galaxy next month after all. Angela Lang CNET

The upcoming Galaxy Note 10, or at least that's what we presume it'll be called, since it'll follow 2018's Note 9, is expected to be announced in August. Particularly so when you understand that they're replacing the buttons with touch sensitive capacitive areas on the device - my immediate concern is a "you're holding it wrong" issue with users turning call volume up or down and potentially turning their phone off inadvertently. According to a report by Android Police, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 will not come with a 3.5mm audio jack.

If the Galaxy Note10 dumps the headphone jack, it's a fair bet the Galaxy S10 was the last generation of Samsung's flagship smartphone to boast that port. It is also possible that Samsung might include a USB connector in the box for its customers.

The render of the rear panel of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 was apparently created from leaked schematic of the Note 10's purported rear camera arrangement. Since seeding its Galaxy Fold smartphone back in April 2019, Samsung has been on a PR clean up tour attempting to assuage fears and dissuade critics of its foldable phone after units began failing due to what appeared to be a manufacturing issue.

Redmi K20 Pro, K20 become official with stellar specs, budget price
Redmi is now trying to take over the void created by OnePlus' rising prices by launching the K20 and K20 Pro at an event in China. The Redmi K20 Pro supports 27W fast charging while the Oppo Reno 10x Zoom has VOOC Charge 3.0 with 20W of current.

Samsung Galaxy M40 to have a 32MP main sensor for the triple camera and will be priced under Rs 20,000. Space saved from removing the headphone jack could allow for a bigger battery, but not by much as it would still need to have a slot to make room for the S Pen, its signature stylus that gets more feature-rich with each model update. It is also rumoured that Galaxy Note 10's design will be similar to Galaxy S10.

In case you missed the global launch, the Galaxy A80 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and an in-display fingerprint scanner on the front.
