Maximum Security disqualified, Country House wins 145th Kentucky Derby

Game Winner Among Kentucky Derby Pre-Race Favorites

"I think this is the most egregious disqualification in the history of horse racing, and not just because it's our horse", West told the Associated Press by phone Saturday night.

Bettors who wagered on Maximum Security in the Kentucky Derby only to see the colt get disqualified for interference will receive refunds.

The Kentucky stewards spent over 20 minutes examining replays of the race to determine whether or not a foul had occurred, and it led to all kinds of snark on Twitter.

"The Kentucky Derby decision was not a good one", Trump tweeted Sunday.

Maximum Security, the favourite for much of the day until just before jump, had appeared to win the 145th Derby by 1¾ lengths in the mud after taking control out of the final turn.

Country House wins the 145th Kentucky Derby.

Due to the surprising win, Country House was the second-longest shot in the history of the Derby at 65 to 1.

It is also possible to order a $499 version of the Oculus Quest with 128 GB of storage, while the $399 version has 64GB. Quest also features Oculus Insight with four built-in sensors to offer full positional, six degree-of-freedom tracking.

"We wanted to have the stewards explain to us what they saw and show us on their video the pictures of exactly what they saw, and they refused to allow us to do that", he said. An objection was filed accusing Maximum Security of interfering with other horses, and race officials reversed the decision, giving Country House the victory.

In other words, because War Of Will, Bodexpress and Long Range Toddy were impacted from achieving their best positions, Maximum Security had to be disqualified. Those horses were all affected, we thought, by the interference. This is despite the fact that any of the three horses would have beaten Maximum Security home. The stewards did not take questions from reporters. Maximum Security's jockey, Luis Saez, believed he had done nothing wrong.

"When you're leg tired, you're not going to run straight all the time", he said.

Then he said, "With that being said, I'm damned glad they put our number up". Tyler came back and said "I nearly went down" and I said to him 'It's not worth it.

It was the first time such a turnabout had ever taken place at the Derby, and the President was not amused. Only once before have stewards sustained a Derby complaint, when 1984 fourth-place finisher Gate Dancer was disqualified for interference in the stretch with Fali Time.

Trump misspelled "Kentucky" in 'Kentucky Derby'.

Stewards, who supervise the outcome of horse races, referenced Section 12 of rule 810 KAR1:016. Serengeti Empress won the race in her first start since pulling up early in March at Fair Grounds with external bleeding.
