London police open fire after vehicle rams Ukrainian ambassador’s auto

British police opened fire after a vehicle rammed into the Ukrainian ambassador's official vehicle on Saturday morning

Armed police opened fire on a auto that drove into the Ukrainian ambassador's official vehicle in London this morning.

No diplomatic staff were injured in the incident and nor was the suspect, a man in his 40s, but he was taken to hospital as a precaution after being arrested, the police said. As the spokesman explained, a person inside the auto that rammed into the diplomat's vehicle posed a threat and thus police had to open fire. When they arrived, the silver Mercedes was said to have been driven at police officers and collided with a number of parked vehicles near the Ukrainian embassy.

British police say shots were fired outside the Ukraine Embassy in London Saturday morning after a vehicle rammed into parked cars in front of the building. Police say the incident is not being treated as related to terrorism.

Witnesses say they heard approximately 10 shots fired.

Officers said they were called at about 9.50am to reports of antisocial behaviour involving a auto.

The incident occurred outside the Ukrainian embassy in Holland Park, Kensington.

Tesla's Poor 1st Quarter Gives Battery Supplier Cold Feet
Wall Street analysts have sounded the alarm in recent months about slowing demand for Tesla's electric vehicles. The company is scheduled to report first-quarter financial results on April 24.

Earlier, eyewitnesses, as quoted by the Daily Star, stated that the gunfire allegedly came from a vehicle near the embassy building, with police returning fire. However, despite this, the driver hit the ambassador's auto again. It added that British police were investigating the suspect's identity and a possible motive.

The black vehicle was heavily scuffed on its right-hand side.

It added that the man was arrested after a vehicle was driven at police officers.

Police said a "standard procedure" investigation is now ongoing into the discharge of a police firearm during the incident.

The Met said the Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.
