Democratic Lawmaker: ‘Some Things May Need To Be Redacted’ From Mueller Report

Russia has built several massive Arctic garrisons in the Arctic and made the hydrocarbon-rich region one of its strategic prioritiesMore

"I have not read the Mueller Report yet, even though I have every right to do so", Trump wrote in a post on Twitter.

The key finding, Trump pointed out, was no evidence of collusion or obstruction and he labelled the entire enterprise as a "total waste of time." .

This comes after Trump on Thursday accused The Times of not having any "legitimate sources".

"If we give the Democrats all 400 pages unredacted that's not going to be the end of the inquiry", Mulvaney said.

Barr quoted the report in his summary as saying on the obstruction question that "while this report does not conclude that the president committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him".

Attorney General William Barr is reviewing the almost 400-page report and says he plans to release it in the coming days after redacting confidential information, such as secret grand jury testimony or foreign intelligence that was included in the report. He is expected to face extensive questioning about the Mueller report and his ongoing redaction process, though, and his testimony will be scrutinized for any sign he is trying to protect the president.

But news media reports said that members of Mueller's team were unhappy with the way Barr had characterized its main conclusions in his four-page summary.

Asked about Trump's thinking on a potential pardon for former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, Giuliani - who represents Trump as his personal lawyer, not as a White House lawyer - said that "yes", he and Trump had discussed pardons "at the very beginning, and decided the whole question of pardons would be put off".

First preliminary report of Ethiopian Airlines flight ET302 released
Boeing's procedures instruct pilots to leave the MCAS disconnected and continue flying manually for the rest of the flight. Boeing anticipates the certification and implementation on the 737 MAX fleet worldwide in the coming weeks, he added.

Congressional Democrats have indicated they will fight those redactions in court if the subpoena is ignored. We have an obligation to read the full report, and the Department of Justice has an obligation to provide it, in its entirely, without delay.

Robert Mueller was tasked with compiling the report, which dealt with allegations aimed at the US President.

"Prosecutors generally take a broad view of what constitutes grand jury information in order to avoid inadvertently disclosing it, but here there's a strong counterbalancing interest in ensuring that everything that can come out does come out, " Bies said.

Russia's Government has denied interfering in the U.S. election.

The Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee this week prepared to subpoena the full report, a move Barr and the White House will nearly certainly contest.

On Friday, the Justice Department, commenting on a fresh ruling in a case on grand jury secrecy, signalled its stance against that.

Many Democrats and legal observers see Barr as an improper actor in the handling of the Mueller report.

"I [have] know [n] Bill Barr for many, many years", Giuliani added.
