FBI rejects teen's claim to be long-missing boy Timmothy Pritzen

Boy last seen in Wisconsin in 2011 possibly found alive, says he was held captive

She said Timmothy knew his home address and grandmother's phone number when he disappeared.

The boy reportedly told police he escaped the men and ran across the Taylor-Southgate Bridge in Kentucky.

The boy said he had recently been held in a Red Roof Inn by a duo of muscular white men.

The boy told police he was staying with the alleged kidnappers in a Red Roof Inn, but he didn't know where it was located. "We've had false reports and false hopes before".

Police in Pitzen's hometown of Aurora are now running a DNA test to confirm the teen's identity, the results of which may be released Thursday afternoon. She added: "You will never find him", according to ABC7 Chicago. According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Timmothy is the only missing child from Aurora. She was one of up to four witnesses to find a missing boy.

He said after fleeing from the room he "kept running across a bridge" and seemingly crossed the state line in to Kentucky.

Before his disappearance in May of 2011, Pitzen's mother had taken her son out of school and on a trip that covered over 500 miles (800 kilometers) in two days, CNN said.

Timmothy's mother, Amy Fry-Pitzen, was found dead at a hotel in IL in what was ruled a suicide, leaving a note that said Timmothy was with others who would love and care for him.

Timmothy was 6-years-old at the time, and the search for him and his mother spanned the region before she was found dead by suicide in a motel room in Rockford, Illinois.

She also said they haven't gotten much information from the authorities, "We just know a 14-year-old boy was found and went to the police".

Pitzen's grandmother, Alana Anderson, says the family has endured so much heartbreak but never gave up hope.

Six years old at the time, Timmothy was last seen with his mother around 10 a.m. on May 13, 2011, when he accompanied her as she checked out of the Kalahari Resort at the Wisconsin Dells. That is Timmothy Pitzen's birthday.

"I said 'I love you buddy, ' and he said 'I love you too, Dad, and I'll see you later, ' and I'm like 'OK, ' and I watched him run off to class", Pitzen told the channel about the last morning he dropped his son off at school.

Under federal law, when a child is reported missing to law enforcement authorities, they must be entered into the database. Timmothy was 6 years old.

The men drove a Ford SUV with Wisconsin plates, according to the police.

The 14-year-old who was found was taken to a hospital in Cincinnati, across the river from where he was found.

Pitzen was the name of a boy from Aurora, Illinois, who went missing after his mother was found dead of an alleged suicide.

"There will be no further statement made on this matter until we have additional information", the spokesman said.

Federal Bureau of Investigation officials say there will be no further statements made until they have additional information. Police said Pitzen took her son to Brookfield Zoo and to Key Lime Cove in Gurnee.
