Democrats have questions on Mueller's obstruction of justice findings

He added, "I have seen the Trump Campaign going after myself and others, and I would say the only person who has made false statements about Russian Federation is Donald Trump".

Congressman Gerry Connolly (D- VA) said on MSNBC this afternoon Congress needs to hear from Attorney General Bill Barr so he can explain his "rash decision" to clear President Donald Trump on obstruction despite Robert Mueller not reaching a conclusion on the subject.

Pelosi, the House speaker, and Schumer, the Senate Democratic leader, said Sunday that Barr's letter to Congress about Mueller's report "raises as many questions as it answers". He also reiterated that he will ask Barr to testify before the House Judiciary Committee. His staff has already been in touch with the Justice Department on setting up Barr's testimony, according to a congressional aide.

The attorney general explained that after reviewing the report and consulting with DOJ officials, he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein concluded the evidence for obstruction Mueller laid out is "not sufficient" to show Trump committed an offense. But only Barr's determination of key findings from the special counsel's report ― not the report itself ― has been released to the public.

Nadler, however, said the president was misrepresenting the findings of the summary authored by Barr, who the New York Democrat accused of making "questionable legal judgments".

Apple said it was producing a variety of original content for the service, though it didn't announced pricing or a release date. Apple took a bite out of Monday's news cycle by at last announcing a timetable for its much-anticipated streaming service.

Mueller could also be talking about the constitutional aspect to this, where impeachment is a political question for the Congress, not a legal question for the Department of Justice. Chuck Schumer to make the special counsel's report on Russian election meddling public.

Lost in all the gloating over how the Mueller report did or did not vindicate various people's positions is the fact that we are not done with this.

The House Judiciary Committee will call Barr to testify about what they characterized as a hasty decision not to pursue obstruction of justice charges against the president for interfering with Mueller's work and the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe that preceded it, Chairman Jerrold Nadler said Sunday.
