Walton defends LeBron after Knicks defeat

Lebron James & Luke Walton

The Los Angeles Lakers season hit a new low Sunday, falling to the lowly New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

According to ESPN Stats and Info, LeBron's 4-of-15 shooting performance in the fourth quarter was the worst he's shot in a single quarter in his entire career - a pretty remarkable note given how many games he's played.

Meanwhile, the New York Knicks have been in a slump of their own as they will be hoping to put a halt to an ugly eight-game skid after getting blown out by the Spurs in a 109-83 road loss on Saturday.

"He's one of the all-time great players in our league", Walton said according to Sporting News.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been perhaps the league's biggest disappointment. "It bothers me that I didn't even get a shot up at the hoop".

Lombok quake: Remains of two Malaysians to be flown back today
He said the injured Malaysians had been taken to the hospital and the ministry was in touch with the Malaysian Embassy in Jakarta.

James said after the loss that he saw "no difference" between the woeful Knicks and his own squad, calling them "two teams out of the postseason", and adding, "We could have a couple of more wins than them, but both teams right now are looking on the outside looking in". Asked if the Lakers moved the ball enough in crunch time, James said that indeed they did.

James did score 33 points in the 124-123 loss, but Sunday marked another grim milestone in the Lakers' rocky season, which has nosedived dramatically since the turn of the year. He's signed for three more seasons, but questions persist around head coach Luke Walton and nearly everyone else on the roster's future. If you are saying you are the reason he's missing shots, you are an idiot. But reality is quite often different to expectations and as it stands the purple and gold have the same amount of wins today, 31, as they did at the same time previous year. So, he's earned that right to take the shots he feels comfortable with.

Mudiay then made a pair of free throws with 22.3 seconds left before Mario Hezonja blocked James' jumper in the waning seconds to preserve the victory.

I think it'd be more than fair to say it's a bit humiliating for the basketball legend.
