Three New Teams Reportedly Bidding Against Raiders For Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown Pittsburgh Steelers

- Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 6, 2019 " The Antonio Brown sweepstakes are heating up: Sources say the #Steelers have begun telling teams that this is moving quickly and to give their best offers ASAP.

"Hell no", Sharpe emphatically declared.

Of course, the one concern that stood out right away was whether Brown would be happy being part of an Arizona team that finished at the bottom of the National Football League in 2018, although it looks like this is no longer an issue since the Cardinals have been ruled out of the trade talks. The 7-time Pro Bowler played the past eight seasons in Pittsburgh.

Brown finds himself on the trade block after a tumultuous last couple of years with the Steelers. Here are the latest reports and updates on Brown.

It'll be interesting to see where Brown lands - and how much he can contribute to his new team. Gruden thinks Brown is exactly the kind of guy he'd want on his team - perhaps a guy he'll trade for soon. If the Steelers get enough return for him, this trade should work out well for Pittsburgh, Brown and his new employer. On Wednesday, he tweeted that three new teams have entered the picture.

Tottenham First Draw In Premier League Season
Tottenham go to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday protecting a 3-0 lead in their Champions League last-16 tie. The result sees Tottenham remain four points clear of Arsenal .

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the teams that have spoken to the Steelers about Brown have been told a deal is expected to be in place by Friday.

Contrary to a suggestion by The Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman that the Philadelphia Eagles are not interested in Brown, La Canfora added that the Eagles are "monitoring" Brown's situation, as are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Washington Redskins.

Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Steelers will not trade Brown within the AFC North, nor to the New England Patriots, if possible.

It was previously rumored to be roughly three teams or so who were really in the mix for the Steelers star, but two of those may have been priced out.

Wherever Brown ends up he's going to look for a restructured contract.
