Mass. native Ruth E. Carter wins an Oscar for ‘Black Panther’

Traditionally, comic book movies have gotten snubbed at the Oscars, as only a handful of comic book or superhero movies have even picked up nominations. Thank you for honoring African royalty and the empowered way women can look and lead onscreen.
