Wells Fargo Suffers Second Online, Mobile Banking Outage This Month

American multinational financial services company Wells Fargo & Company is displayed on a smartphone

Some customers reported that their cards were declined while attempting a purchase, and some said they couldn't pay their bills on time because of the glitch.

An hour after the initial tweet, the company said they were experiencing a "systems issue" and apologized for the inconvenience, but did not say how long systems would be down. As of 10 a.m., online banking services remained unavailable.

It should be a better day for Wells Fargo customers, as most of the company's services will be available Friday after a nationwide outage.

More details to come.

ABC15 reached out to Wells Fargo for further explanation regarding the outages but has not yet heard back.

The bank's ATMs were also not functioning properly and customers encountered issues when trying to use their debit and credit cards.

Mobile Promises You Will Pay Less, Get More After Sprint Merger

Direct Deposit on Wells Fargo's online banking system is down on Friday, February 8, 2018, according to customer complaints on Twitter and Facebook across the United States.

The company said customers should check Wells Fargo social media for updates on the outage.

The system struggled with nation-wide outages at ATM's and online, which left people frustrated and furious.

As Business Insider points out, it's been less than a week since Wells Fargo's last technical difficulties.

"We're working to restore services as soon as possible", Wells Fargo wrote. It is yet unknown how numerous bank's customers were affected but Twitter complaints have been registered nationwide.
