Ariana Grande tries and fails to correct mistranslated Japanese tattoo

Ariana-Grande

The website's reporter Eimi Yamamitsu explained on Twitter that the tattoo reads "Japanese BBQ finger" now.

Ariana revealed she had been back to her tattoo artist to add more characters to her design after the first gaffe, but social media users pointed out the correction isn't exactly what Ariana had intended.

"Slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me fix and to @kanenavasard for being a legend", the singer wrote. "And to my doctor for the (numbing medication) lidocaine shots (no joke)", the star wrote alongside a black and white snap of her design on her Instagram Stories.

"For those who are confused, ariana grande got a tattoo on her hand in japanese meant to spell out "7 rings" and posted it on instagram (now deleted), but japanese people in the comments started saying how the REAL translation is bbq grill", another fan wrote. "Miss u man. I actually really liked u (sic)".

Ariana Grande tried to fix the misspelled Japanese tattoo she got on her hand.

Soon after Ariana shared the original misspelled tattoo online, she garnered a huge amount of attention and was made fun of in many Internet memes.

Ariana Grande may wish she had done a quick Google search before going to get a tattoo.

"Indeed, I left out '???' which should have gone in between", she wrote in response to a fan. It hurt like f-k n still looks tight. 'I'm curious.' For sure.

Ariana Grande also apologized to her fans for the blunder caused by her and she also consulted with a friend who happens to fluent in Japanese language regarding the fixing of the tattoo.
