Everything you need to know about where Cory Booker gets his money

New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker announces 2020 presidential campaign

As a senator, Booker has sought to sand off some of his rough political edges ahead of 2020, burnishing his progressive credentials by signing on to policies such as "Medicare-for-all".

"The president said before that Cory Booker as mayor of Newark ran the city into the ground, so I'll let those comments stand", the White house counselor later told reporters. In addition to Harris, D-Calif., Booker joins Sens. "I'm Cory Booker and I'm running for president of the United States of America".

Booker's campaign manager will be Addisu Demissie, who managed California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom's campaign last year and previously worked on Hillary Clinton's 2016 presidential bid.

The high-profile Democrat from New Jersey announced his White House run with a new website and a tweet featuring a two-minute-long campaign launch video, as well as an email to supporters.

"He was a pro-school choice advocate but the modern Democratic Party in which he's running for the presidential nomination has moved so far to the left that he can't even bring himself to help those school children through school choice", Conway claimed.

Booker's chief accomplishment in the Senate was his involvement in the recent passing of a criminal justice reform bill. During the height of the Republican push to repeal the Affordable Care Act, Booker drew attention to the debate by holding a sit-in on the steps of the Senate with other Democrats, and livestreaming the event for hours.

Apple bans Facebook 'Research' app, breaks the social network's internal iOS apps
In a statement to Fast Company , Apple said that Facebook was in "clear breach of their agreement". Facebook even asked users to screenshot and share their Amazon order history.

"It is not a matter of can we, it's a matter of do we have the collective will, the American will?" he added.

"If he stays in that lane and is the articulate, inspirational guy that he is, then I think he's got a legitimate chance to be a serious potential problem for the president in the general election".

Booker's call for unity and Making America Proud, Not Ashamed, Of Its Elected Officials Again is precisely the message anyone who's followed his career would expect. Elizabeth Warren, Kirsten Gillibrand and Kamala Harris announced presidential plans, most Democratic strategists and officials consider Booker a top-tier contender who has spent months building relationships and laying organizational groundwork in the early voting states. If elected, he would be the country's second African-American president.

If the presidential race were a declamation contest, Mr Booker would head the pack. "I think if we give all of our energy - psychic, mental - toward Donald Trump, it makes him powerful".

"We're not defined by a president who does not believe women", he said.

Hillary Clinton's battle with Bernie Sanders in the 2016 Democratic primary - and her eventual loss to Trump in the election - triggered an ongoing debate within the party about the best path forward, pitting moderates against progressives and younger politicians against the old guard.
