Michy Batshuayi agrees personal terms to join Crystal Palace from Chelsea

Chelsea Fan Blog | Opinions & Transfer NewsEverton interested in Chelsea flop Michy Batshuayi

Sky Sports have reported that both West Ham and Real Betis are interested in singing the forward on loan but that his high wage demands are in danger of putting a stop to the deal.

As things stand, it looks like Batshuayi will have to decide between Real Betis and West Ham.

Batshuayi has been on loan at Valencia for the first half of the season, but after only managing 3 goals in 23 appearances for the club, is rumoured to be on his way back to Stamford Bridge early.

Michy Batshuayi is trying to persuade Chelsea to let him join Tottenham on loan until the end of the season, sources have told ESPN FC.

Chelsea had explored selling the player to Everton for around £40m only for the fee to be prohibitive, and with the Merseyside club already boasting Kurt Zouma on loan from Chelsea on their books.

US hits Venezuela's state-owned oil company with sanctions
His remarks in an interview with the Russian state-owned RIA Novosti news agency came amid a dire political crisis in Venezuela. The once prosperous nation has been in an economic collapse, with several million citizens fleeing to neighbouring countries.

A report claims that Michy Batshuayi is still on course to join Crystal Palace on loan from Chelsea, despite the deal not going through before the 11pm deadline.

Spurs, however, were not prepared to make a significant permanent investment in Batshuayi, giving Palace a late opportunity to secure the Belgian's services. PSG returned with a second offer for the Senegal worldwide late on deadline day but, as with their opening £21.5m approach last week, it was insufficient to break Everton's resolve to keep the 29-year-old at Goodison Park. Spurs have decided not to pursue signing Michy Batshuayi on loan.

Paris Saint-Germain were linked with a late move for the Brazilian.

Elsewhere, Fulham continue to chase Bordeaux defender Youssouf Sabaly but they have signed former West Ham midfielder Havard Nordtveit who has penned a loan deal at Craven Cottage.
