Women's March doesn’t represent Jews - Laura Loomer shouts after crashing NYC event

Debbie Wasserman Schultz Is Skipping National Women's March Because of Leaders' Refusal to 'Completely Repudiate Anti-Semitism': Opinion

Political scientists from the universities of CT and Denver estimated that it was the single largest march in US history.

WASHINGTON - A national movement for women's rights gathered for the third time in the capital on Saturday under cloudy skies and the shadow of an antisemitism crisis gripping its leadership.

The first march was January 21, 2017, the day after U.S. President Donald Trump's inauguration.

"The media can talk about whatever controversy they want, but the real controversy was in the White House", she said. In a video shared on Twitter, the right-wing activist appeared onstage attempting to speak over a woman standing at a podium.

During an appearance on "The View", Meghan McCain asked if Women's March leader Tamika Mallory would condemn Farrakhan's statements like "the powerful Jews are my enemy".

In some cities, like NY and Washington, there will be more than one march or demonstration due to criticism that some Women's March leaders are anti-Semitic - a charge those leaders have sought to dispel in recent interviews and statements.

"We are deeply disappointed that Women's March Inc. has taken this misleading and divisive stance, which taints an important movement for social justice".

Putin ready for ‘serious conversation’ with US on INF Treaty
Ryabkov said Tuesday's talks in Geneva centred on SSC-8 system but that U.S. demands regarding the missile were unacceptable. She said Moscow's offers, such as a "static display" of the missiles, would not show whether they breach the treaty.

What makes it unique is how it takes typically gender-neutral issues such as immigration and offers policy solutions that specifically benefit women and families, she said.

Teresa Shook, one of the movement's founders, in November, accused the four main leaders of the national march organization of anti-Semitism. "I'm not Jewish", she said. Turmoil within the organization has led to some members requesting the resignation of the national group's co-chairs. Appearing on The View this week, Mallory refused to explicitly condemn Farakhan.

Women's March co-president Tamika Mallory, center, speaks at a rally against the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh in front of the Supreme Court building in Washington, D.C., September 24, 2018. She said the two NY events shared the same message.

The 2019 Women's March is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.at Waterfront Park, located at 1600 Pacific Highway. "That is not my language", she said instead, referring to the Nation of Islam leader's history of Jewish hatred.

But the movement has been riven by controversy, including allegations of anti-Semitism and poor accounting of funds, and weakened, no doubt, by a general sense of political exhaustion. "If you're not going to stand up for what you believe in, that's when complacency sets in", she said. Those events drew lots of men in support of women's rights, but that wasn't the case this year, she said.

So Women's March Chicago urged its supporters to organize their own community-based political actions and service projects to commemorate this year's anniversary.
