Bruce Arians Named Head Coach Of The Tampa Bay Buccaneers

REPORT: Bruce Arians Expected To Be Named Head Coach of Tampa Bay Bucs This Week

Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians is attempting to bring some familiar names with him to Tampa Bay, according to senior National Football League reporter Albert Breer. In 2012 they improved to No. 7 in Bowles' first season and No. 5 in his previous year in Arizona, when he was named the NFL's top assistant prior to taking the head-coach position in NY.

Leftwich even has a Bucs connection as a player, having started three games back at quarterback for Tampa Bay back in 2009.

The Bucs fired head coach Dirk Koetter after their season ended. He served as Arians' defensive coordinator for two seasons and was named the Associated Press' assistant coach of the year for the 2014 season. He went 34-14 in his first three seasons at the helm, including a run to the NFC Championship Game in the 2015 season. Arians' confidence in talking about Bowles being on his Tampa staff - when it still seemed up in the air - during a conversation with NFL Network's Rich Eisen on Wednesday seemed to indicate which way the wind was blowing. Rapoport adds that former New York Jets head coach Todd Bowles is their top target for defensive coordinator.

"There is no doubt", Arians said of Winston's role as the Bucs' starter.

Ocasio-Cortez says ‘no question’ Trump is a racist
She also supports universal health care, tuition-free public college and massive government investment to combat climate change. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: It's going to require a lot of rapid change that we don't even conceive as possible right now.

The Bears could consider other in-house candidates for the job, such as outside linebackers coach Brandon Staley and defensive line coach Jay Rodgers.

The day after Koetter was sacked, Licht made it clear that whoever wound up replacing the coach would inherit Winston as his starting quarterback.

But Winston, who's 21-33 as a starter and only led the team to one winning season in four years, has not been a bust. Winston's pocket presence, footwork and decision making must improve under Arians.
