Ayers not taking job as White House chief of staff

Nick Ayers won't be Trump's next chief of staff after all

Nick Ayers, Chief of Staff to Vice President Mike Pence, says he will not take the position of Chief of Staff, after reportedly failing to agree with Trump about the terms.

Ayers revealed the news in a tweet.

"I will be departing at the end of the year but will work with the #MAGA team to advance the cause", he wrote on Twitter, a reference to Trump's Make America Great Again slogan.

President Trump says White House chief of staff John Kelly will leave his job at end of the year; Eric Beach, co-chair of Great America PAC, and former OH state Senator Capri Cafaro join the debate.

Spain braces for some 500 violent fans for Copa Libertadores
The victor of the Copa Libertadores will claim the last remaining place at the Fifa Club World Cup in the UAE later this month. Martinez ran the ball into the empty net and River's substitutes and staff all poured onto the pitch to begin the celebrations.

Even the best counsel will matter little unless Mr Trump trusts his new chief of staff and will listen to frank advice, Mr Panetta said.

Ayers instead will be leaving the administration to run a pro-Trump super PAC, The Associated Press reported citing a person familiar with his plans who was not authorized to discuss them by name. Ayers was said to be out after only being willing to commit to staying until next spring while the president found a more permanent replacement. It was Saturday afternoon that Trump confirmed the news before making his way to the Army-Navy game.

Ayer's refusal adds to uncertainty at the White House, as the 36-year-old prepares to leave the administration leaving it unclear who will take over John Kelly. President Trump broke the news himself, telling reporters about Kelly's exit as he left for the Army-Navy game on Saturday. However, he also alienated some longtime Trump allies, and over time he grew increasingly isolated, with an increasingly diminished role.
