Frenkie de Jong issues statement ahead of January transfer window

Reports emerged on Friday that Paris Saint-Germain had jumped the queue in a the race for De Jong's signature, but Salihamidzic revealed that Bayern, who beat Nurnberg 3-0 on Saturday, also hold an interest.

While De Jong is focused on helping Ajax win their first Eredivisie title since 2014, the Netherlands global revealed his admiration for City boss Pep Guardiola and his style of football.
