Michael Clarke hits out over ball tampering blame claim

Former Australia captain Michael Clarke says the team will win nothing being nice

I'd like to think the Gerald was deliberate.

Mitch Johnson has written about the toxic culture that developed under Clarke's leadership, the collapse in the sense of team that left some not even wanting to play.

R Ashwin concedes that the conditions in Australia will be very different and that it will be hard to run through the opposition. It's nice to have Davey in and Steve had a hit yesterday, I had breakfast with him on Monday morning and I caught up with Davey for a couple of hours that afternoon as well.

"In the Ashes they nearly whitewashed England, knocked them over, and so as far as I'm concerned they are starting favourites", he signed off.

"I've never and will never say that that stuff is completely fine".

Saying that he had worked out the way forward with the authorities, Langer added, "If you think about the ACA [Australian Cricketers' Association] and CA [Cricket Australia], the public and the team, the media and the team, it's a bit disjointed at the moment". It's a special distinction that comes with an expectation they will represent us."Whateley bit back at Clarke's jab, claiming he didn't have the courage to play professional cricket."As for the courage to play ... it was a complete lack of ability but let's call it courage". We play our best cricket when you're fighting.

"I thought the ball came out pretty well (off my hand)".

North Carolina hiring Mack Brown as head coach
Brown returns to the college football coaching ranks after five seasons as a broadcaster with ABC/ESPN. Fedora did wear out his welcome in Chapel Hill, NC, hence the move to bring someone aboard like Brown.

They were legendary players. Whiteman, who may return to the Western Australia Shield team next week, shaped up nicely before his loose drive and when it appeared the innings could fall away Hardie, the star with the ball yesterday, and Nielsen kept India in the field as they each made composed half-centuries.

Clarke said Warner and the team needed his aggression.

A lot of onus will be on the Indian pace attack to deliver the goods once again after their terrific performances in South Africa and England earlier in the year.

But most explosive was his suggestion that the behavioural descent of the Australian cricket team stemmed back to when Clarke was made Test captain. "And that was the descent that began under Clarke".

"Perhaps if he was talented enough or courageous enough to make it onto a cricket pitch he would have a better perspective than from behind a microphone", Clarke wrote after listing several "facts" throughout the open letter.

'Australian cricket, I think, needs to stop worrying about being liked and start worrying about being respected, ' said Clarke on Macquarie Sports Radio.

Michael Clarke a batting legend and a former Australian test captain usually a calm task master is famous for his one off incident with James Anderson where he was involved in a bitter verbal spat with the bowling legend.
