Rooney set for one-off England return against USA

Ronaldo and Rooney to link-up once again

Rooney, the former United and Everton forward, who scored 53 goals for the Three Lions, announced his retirement from worldwide football in August 2017.

The 33-year-old made his last appearance for England in a 3-0 win over Scotland in November 2016, before announcing his global retirement in August 2017.

Former Three Lions captain Rooney last played for England in November 2016 but will make his 120th and final appearance for his country against the United States.

Although Harry Kane is the current England captain, he will give the armband over to Rooney for the special occasion.

He helped the Washington side reach the play-offs where they lost to Columbus Crew on penalties.

The match will raise money for several charities, one of which is the Wayne Rooney Foundation, which aims to help support disadvantaged and vulnerable children. "It's fitting the match will be against the US". He retired the following August as England's all-time top scorer with 53 goals from 119 appearances.

United States prosecutors file charges against two Goldman Sachs bankers, Jho Low
Low is represented by Marc Kasowitz, an attorney who has formerly represented US President Donald Trump, a DOJ spokesman said. The authorities contend that the bribes and kickbacks were paid to secure 1MDB's bond underwriting business for the bank.

"It's been two years since Wayne last played, England are on a new threshold and have just had a great World Cup but are going backwards with this".

The friendly game against the United States on 15 November will give Rooney the chance to win his 120th cap and will also raise funds for the Wayne Rooney Foundation.

"This tribute to Wayne is a unique opportunity that is befitting of our nation's record goalscorer", said Southgate.

"Wayne Rooney finished with England, Gareth Southgate moved on and I don't agree with this at all". We're fortunate that circumstances have allowed us to formally acknowledge Wayne's huge contribution to England in front of the Wembley crowd and against apt opponents given the recent impact he has made in MLS.

But, more importantly, the fixture is now being billed as the "Wayne Rooney Foundation International" in support of his charitable interests.
