NBC News 'Today' anchor Megyn Kelly will not return to the show

Megyn Kelly’s morning show is reportedly over because of her blackface comment. More

She is in the middle of the second year of a three year contract, which reportedly pays her more than $20 million a year. She added, "I learned that given the history of blackface being used in very bad ways by racists in this country, it is not okay for that to be part of any costume, Halloween or otherwise".

Kelly did not host "Megyn Kelly Today" as scheduled on Thursday and Friday mornings.

The "Today" report said executives will likely be weighing Kelly's departure compensation. It took just 48 hours for Kelly to be cut from the network.

Gayle King is speaking out about Megyn Kelly's commentary on blackface, which cost her Megyn Kelly Today.

Upgrade your SD/HD movies to 4K on Google Play Movies & TV free
Starting today, some previously-purchased movies will automatically be upgraded to 4K quality once available. It is possible you can now get a 4K version of that movie for free according to a report from 9to5 Google.

A report Friday on the "Today" show cited a source familiar with the situation as saying NBC News and Kelly are in talks about the anchor leaving the network. The new role would involve her in hard news stories rather than morning show fare. She stated, "Because truly you do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface at Halloween or a black person who puts on white face for Halloween".

"I defended the idea saying as long as it was respectful and part of a Halloween costume it seemed okay".

"I'm Megyn Kelly and I want to begin with two words: I'm sorry", Kelly said. Roker remains with NBC as an occasional co-anchor on Nightly News and the daily weather anchor on Today. She apologized in a tearful message to viewers on Wednesday's episode of her show, as well as privately to her staff. Regarding NBC's alleged reluctance to share the Weinstein article, Kelly suggested that an outside agency conduct an investigation into the matter.

"Listen, only NBC executives know exactly why Megyn was let go so I'm not going to speculate on the reason", the CBS This Morning host, 63, expressed. "But no, I haven't reached out to her at this time". "This is not a recent development", a source told the magazine.
