Bomb Suspect Will be Brought to 'SWIFT and CERTAIN' Justice

Bombs found in mail sent to Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton

None of the devices exploded, and no one was injured.

President Donald Trump continued to turn attention to the media in the aftermath of the spate of suspected mail bombs sent to CNN and some of his prominent critics, this time complaining that the cable news network was casting blame on him.

The Trump campaign said that 100,000 people had expressed interest in the free tickets for the event.

The president said that what he calls "fake news" has got worse and the mainstream media must "clean up its act, FAST".

Two more explosive devices - one addressed to Senator Cory Booker and the other to former director of national intelligence James R. Clapper - were discovered at postal offices in Florida and NY.

Speaking at the White House, President Trump said: "The safety of the American people is my highest priority".

The Secret Service intercepted the package sent to Obama in Washington D.C. Obama now resides in the Kalorama neighborhood in the District.

The White House is condemning attempted attacks made against former President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton.

Clinton, who lost to Trump in the 2016 election, said it was a "troubling time" and a "time of deep divisions and we have to do everything we can to bring our country together".

Mr Biden has also criticised Mr Trump, as recently as last week, saying he may not "know what he's doing" and coddles dictators. The package sent to CNN contained a live explosive and envelope with white powder, and officials said the substance was being tested to see if it was risky.

There is no indication that Trump and Obama have spoken since Trump assumed the presidency.

Two were intended for former vice-president Joe Biden at his home state of Delaware and one for actor Robert De Niro in Manhattan.

A US official told The Associated Press that investigators believe the explosive that was discovered near the Clintons' home in Chappaqua, New York, is linked to one found Monday at the compound of liberal billionaire George Soros.

Reports say packages were sent to the homes of former presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. But while many of Trump's predecessors reached out from time to time to their predecessors, Trump has largely not done so.

Suspicious packages sent to Biden, De Niro brings total to 10
The packages also went to former CIA Director John Brennan (in care of CNN in New York) and former Attorney General Eric Holder . Authorities swept Biden's Greenville, Del., home Wednesday and found nothing suspicious, the Delaware News Journal reported .

Republicans in the state have been growing increasingly nervous about the prospects of holding onto the governor's office, let alone picking up a Senate seat held by a well-positioned Democratic incumbent.

CNN reported that the package sent to the building where Wasserman Schultz has offices was addressed to Eric Holder, the former attorney general, but never was sent to him, and instead was sent to Wasserman Schultz because her name was listed as the return address.

A police bomb squad removed the package addressed to Mr Brennan from CNN's NY office, which was evacuated.

The Trump White House reacted quickly, calling out the "terrorizing attacks" as "despicable".

The bombs seized Wednesday, each with a small battery, were about six inches long and packed with powder and broken glass, said a law enforcement official who viewed X-ray images and spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss an ongoing investigation.

The officials said the devices were not rigged like a booby-trapped package bomb that would explode upon opening. That means FBI investigators can "look for patterns such as the device, the technical expertise, the method of mailing, a whole host of great, rich forensic evidence that can be gathered".

Law enforcement officials did not comment on the possible motives behind the crimes or whether political ideology may have played a role.

Former CIA head John Brennan, a frequent critic of Mr Trump, said: "Look in the mirror".

Trump claimed Wednesday at a rally in Wisconsin that Baldwin is a "radical, far left opponent" who "who wants a socialist takeover of health care".

"I get attacked also", he said.

"Do you see how nice I'm behaving tonight?" "Have you ever seen this?"

"Violence and terror have no place in our politics or anywhere else in our society", the Louisiana Republican posted on Twitter. "This egregious conduct is abhorrent".

Wray said 13 bombs had been recovered, but there may be others. This is another thing that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and local law enforcement in NY are investigating.

The only common thread between the people who have received devices is that they are prominent figures - many current or former Democratic elected officials - who have publicly clashed with Trump.
