North Korea 'Concerned' Over Public Response to South Korean President's Speech

US President Donald Trump praised his Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh but said he was open to withdrawing his nomination if allegations of sexual assault against him prove credible

"Just so you understand".

During a press conference, President Trump said that the accusations against Brett Kavanaugh have affected him.

Trump said that he grew up hearing the phrase "innocent until proven guilty", suggesting that it was the proper application of justice in America.

At a news conference in NY a day before Kavanaugh was set to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Trump pledged to listen to the testimony of Kavanaugh's accuser and even said he was open to changing his mind about his nominee. Trump said that if lawmakers had moved faster "you wouldn't be talking about it right now, which is frankly what I would have preferred".

Ford and Kavanaugh are both scheduled to testify to the Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday (local time).

On the ongoing trade war with China: Trump claimed, inaccurately, that the dispute - which hit another crescendo this week with the addition of $200 billion in tariffs on consumer goods - has had "absolutely no impact on the economy". And on Wednesday (Thursday NZT), a woman represented by Avenatti - who shot to fame as the attorney taking on the president for porn actress Stormy Daniels - made another accusation of misconduct. "I can only say that what they have done to this man is incredible".

The Brett Kavanaugh sexual misconduct controversy is personal for US President Donald Trump.

"I didn't expect that reaction, but that's OK", he said.

Tension as Russian Federation provides missile system to Syria
But it exposed a glaring flaw in Syrian and Russian military cooperation, which Moscow is due to close with the S-300. Peskov said the new measures were decided on to boost the security of its troops in Syria.

There's no sense of what the president may address, but the conference follows Trump's first time as cahir of the U.N. Security Council meeting, where he reiterated his heavy criticism of Iran and accused China of "attempting to interfere" with the 2018 US midterm elections. Trump apologised but also defended himself, dismissing his comments as "locker-room talk". "And then you have this other con artist, Avenatti, come out with another beauty today".

Trump said on Wednesday that Washington and Pyongyang had made "a tremendous amount of progress" on denuclearisation since a year ago.

Asked about the decision to have a veteran Arizona prosecutor handle the questioning in the Judiciary Committee, Trump said Senate Republicans "could not be nicer" and "could not be more respectful".

In fact, he said, he'd be calling Xi on Thursday to check in following the question by a New York Times reporter. "I'm going to be watching, believe it or not". He also called reports of the UN General Assembly audience laughing at him "fake news", insisting "they were laughing with me". I'm not saying they had to report it. We were doing it together.

US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned council members - including his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, who sit across the table - that "enforcement of Security Council sanctions must continue vigorously and without fail until we realise final, fully verified denuclearisation". "It doesn't matter to me".

Rosenstein's discussion of wearing a wire into the Oval Office lends credence to that charge, but there is much more to it.

"I always like to finish with a good one", he said.

China and Russian Federation also said they share with North and South Korea a desire to produce a document that would declare an end to the Korean War, which ended with an armistice and not a formal peace treaty.
