Google Feed goes through a revamp, renamed to Discover

Google introduces new 'Discover' feature as Search turns 20

Again, Google says this Lens functionality in Image Search will be available in the coming weeks. Now when taking a picture, the app will automatically identify all the objects inside the image: you can click on any of them and see the results.

Google Lens will be integrated into the image search. You won't have to watch an entire video for the relevant part of the news as Google will filter out the irrelevant part and show you more videos of what you might be interested in. It basically takes content from the web and turns it into a Story (like Snapchat Stories) that can be viewed on the search feed. Google will also give you past search terms you used before. The expanded feed, called Discover, increases Google's role in suggesting content and information to people, rather than just being the portal they use to find things on their own. Topic headers explain why you're being shown a particular card, tapping on which will get you more stories on that specific topic including stories and videos based on the particular subject. '... Now, a new activity card will help you pick up from where you left off in Search'.

The Google leadership, according to the The Intercept report, were furious when they discovered that the memo was being passed among employees who were not supposed to know about about the Dragonfly project.

The doodle, comprising a 1.37-minute long video, showed Google's journey from the start until 2018, and also thanked its users for all the support during the journey.

Trump says Dems using ‘con game’ to sink Kavanaugh court bid
Democrats have seized on both accusations as reason to delay the confirmation vote for more hearings and a full FBI investigation. Democrats have accused Republicans of not conducting a thorough review in their rush to get Mr Kavanaugh confirmed.

On the bottom of the cards displayed in Google Discover users will spot a new slider switch. Going forward, Search will rely more heavily on Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the overall goal of enhancing the search experience for users. Just tell Google you want "More" or "Less" like that post to tune the algorithm.

When you search for a new topic, Google will organize all results in tabs. "Google Inc. was incorporated on September 4, but for more than a decade we've celebrated our birthday on September 27".

People can find references to most datasets in environmental and social sciences, as well as data from other disciplines including government data and data provided by news organisations, such as ProPublica. Google will show a quick 30 second preview as it relates to your search. It looks and acts similarly to a Pinterest board in that any search you save to it is easily accessible later.
