NASA released a video of the hurricane on Monday as captured by cameras mounted outside the International Space Station.

At 11 a.m. EDT (1500 UTC), the eye of Hurricane Florence was located near latitude 25.0 degrees north and longitude 60.0 degrees west. Florence is moving toward the west near 13 miles per hour (20 kph). "Gather prepared on the East Fly, right here's a no-kidding nightmare coming for you. While some weakening is expected to begin by late Thursday, Florence is still forecast to be an extremely unsafe major hurricane when it nears the US coast on Friday", the NHC said in an 11 a.m.

The storm was expected to make landfall in North Carolina some time Thursday or Friday, though winds frome the hurricane could be felt as early as Wednesday evening, according to NHC.

NASA shared photos Wednesday showing the unsafe storm from the International Space Station.
