A day after 12 former senior intelligence officials signed a letter condemning President Trump for revoking the security clearance of former CIA director John Brennan, 60 lower-ranking former CIA officers signed an open letter on Friday also in opposition to Mr. Trump's decision.

Short form is that Rod Rosenstein says he was not directly connected to the investigation, but he served as associate deputy attorney general and has a past working relationship with Christopher Steele, who complied the infamous Steele Dossier which details facts that led investigators to worry that Russian operatives may have information that would compromise Donald Trump. "I don't trust many of those people on that list", Trump said.

Most recently, Ohr has come under scrutiny for his alleged dealings with the author of the anti-Trump dossier and potentially secret meetings with Glenn Simpson of Fusion GPS.

In the statement, the officials call the move "unprecedented" and caution against using security clearances as a political tool.

"I don't know McRaven", Trump said of the former Navy SEAL who organized the 2011 raid that killed Osama Bin Laden.

"On Wednesday, Trump cited "lying", frenzied commentary", and "erratic conduct" as reasons he'd revoked Brennan's security clearance.

"There's no silence. If anything, I'm giving them a bigger voice", Trump said.

CDC studying measles outbreak in NC, other states
What is the treatment for measles? Measles can be prevented with the MMR vaccine, which also protects against mumps and rubella. The total number of cases that year is the highest number since measles elimination was declared in the U.S. in 2000.

"I think that Bruce Ohr is a disgrace, with his wife, Nellie", Trump told reporters outside the White House.

Asked whether Trump plans to yank other clearances, Conway said: "That's up to the president. Decisions on security clearances should be based on national security and not political views". Lake said Brennan is an ideal foe for Trump since he's intelligence community figure with the sharpest criticisms against the administration. "Revoking the security clearance of former Central Intelligence Agency chief is nothing but a blatant attempt to silence a critic, to take away his right to free speech, to purge him".

Trump contradicted the official White House explanation of why he took the action against Brennan. "But let him write his report". On Tuesday, Brennan lambasted Trump's personal character after he derided former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman as a "dog".

Trump has slammed Ohr as a source for Mueller in his probe into Russian election meddling.

After Trump lambasted Brennan earlier today, Lake spoke to CNN's Brooke Baldwin and explained that its part of the president's plan for casting the former Central Intelligence Agency director as a new enemy he can rally his base against.

"I call it the rigged witch hunt, [it] is a sham", Trump was quoted as saying in the interview.
