The $10 million Tiger Woods-Phil Mickelson showdown has a date

Report: Tiger, Phil head-to-head slated for November

Tiger Woods hits his tee shot on the 18th during the final round of The Open Championship golf tournament at Carnoustie Golf Links.

And now, according to ESPN's Mike Greenberg, sources have informed him that the much talked-about head-to-head is scheduled to take place either on Friday the 23 or Saturday the 24 November (Thanksgiving weekend in the USA). Golf.com had initially reported last month that the players were in negotiations for a "winner take all" competition.

The match between two of the sport's greatest golfers will either be held November 23 or November 24 at Shadow Creek Golf Course, ESPN reported Thursday.

When asked about the latest rumours regarding the match, he said: "We haven't signed anything, nothing's confirmed".

Pep Guardiola sends message to new Chelsea FC boss Maurizio Sarri
Where is Chelsea vs Manchester City Community Shield match played? "Nobody put a gun to his head and said, 'You have to'". Each person is always different than the other. "But in this moment of the season it's very important, the performance".

The online bookmaker has Woods, a 14-time major champion, at $1.67 ahead of five-time major victor Mickelson ($2.10).

"It's a ridiculous amount of money", he said. A sometimes-contentious relationship between Woods and Mickelson has thawed in recent years. They have also played many practice rounds together this year, including one on Wednesday at Firestone.

Between them, the two Americans have won 19 major championships - Woods with 14 to Mickelson's five. "We both like to talk smack, and we both have fun with what we're doing". Mickelson is expected to play in his 12th consecutive Ryder Cup this year, while Woods has already been named a vice captain and hopes to receive an at-large selection from captain Jim Furyk.

"It's not there yet, but certainly we are working on it and trying to make it happen".
