'Meyered' in controversy: OSU coach placed on leave

Urban Meyer on Leave as Ohio State Investigates What He Knew About Allegations Against Ex-assistant

Ohio State University placed head football coach Urban Meyer on administrative leave on Monday as it launches an investigation into allegations that Meyer failed to act on domestic violence allegations against a team employee.

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer hugs his wife, Shelley, after their 44-28 win over Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl NCAA college football game, in Glendale, Ariz., in 2016.

She also told McMurphy that Shelley said she would have to tell Urban and Courtney encouraged her to do so.

"In 2015 I came forward with it", Courtney Smith said in the interview.

Meyer originally claimed that he knew nothing about two alleged domestic-violence incidents against Zach Smith in 2015.

Courtney Smith told McMurphy that "all the wives" knew of the alleged abuse, and provided screenshots of text message conversations with Shelley Meyer.

Trump follows through on farm trade aid
If the truce agreed by Europe and the United States holds, the USA will be doing battle mainly with China, rather than the world. These three countries together imported $3.7 billion worth of soybeans in 2017, which is minuscule compared to that of China .

The Ohio State University Board of Trustees today formed a special, independent board working group related to the investigation involving Urban Meyer that was announced on Wednesday.

The extension also increased Meyer's salary to $7.6m for 2018, an $800,000 raise over what he was scheduled to earn. The case was dropped by police when the woman chose not to pursue charges, but Hyde was suspended three games by Ohio State. We expect Coach Meyer to bring out the best in us as he comes to the table with a winning attitude, impressive football resume and of course a mutual appreciation for farm fresh quality and hearty breakfast foods. Meyer's wife, Shelley, was made aware of the allegations, and said she would speak to her husband, Courtney Smith told the network.

The fact remains, Smith has not been convicted of any domestic violence issues. The 34-year-old Zach Smith is the grandson of Meyer's mentor and former Ohio State coach Earle Bruce.

When asked about that incident, Meyer claimed at the Big Ten meetings last week, that he was unaware of a 2015 incident.

Meyer told reporters last week that he didn't know anything about the 2015 incident.
