Rudy Giuliani: Michael Cohen Has Been Warned To Keep His Mouth Shut

Mr. Cohen does not have any evidence such as audiotapes verifying his claims, CNN's sources said.

The relationship between Cohen and the president has soured dramatically in the months since investigators raided Cohen's house, hotel and office. United States intelligence agencies say Russian Federation interfered to support Trump's candidacy. The US Attorney's office for the Southern District of NY, which is leading the criminal investigation of Cohen, declined to comment. But one claim stayed consistent: "that Trump had no knowledge of the meeting beforehand, wasn't told about it afterward and first learned about it one year later".

The Trump Tower meeting was arranged by British music promoter, Rob Goldstone, who told Trump Jr that he had "information that would incriminate Hillary and her dealings with Russian Federation and would be very useful to your father".

Trump indirectly slammed Cohen on Twitter Friday, suggesting that he is "trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam". "He even retained Bill and Crooked Hillary's lawyer [Lanny Davis]. Gee, I wonder if they helped him make the choice!" the president tweeted Friday morning. The president insinuated Cohen might be making up stories in order to cut a deal after the Federal Bureau of Investigation raided his home and office and seized financial records of Cohen's taxi medallion business.

Rudy Giuliani, Trump's attorney, furiously denied the new reports in an appearance on CNN late Thursday, arguing that Cohen is a "pathological liar" who can not be trusted.

Cohen, who is under federal investigation for his business dealings and involvement in payments to women on behalf of Mr. Trump, has been under enormous pressure to cooperate with federal investigators in the separate Mueller probe.

The president, Trump Jr. and others have repeatedly said that Trump was not aware of the 2016 Trump Tower meeting until he was asked about it by reporters in July 2017.

Public Service Commission revokes Charter merger agreement with Time Warner Cable
The company said its workers "remain focused on delivering faster and better broadband to more New Yorkers, as we promised". The commission approved the decision unanimously and also voted to bring forward a civil lawsuit against the company.

"We wouldn't consider it in our best interest to share confidential information with them and they would feel the same way".

In April, Trump said in a tweet that Cohen is "a fine person ... who I have always liked & respected".

Cohen has not yet made a decision to work with the federal prosecutors, according to two people familiar with his thinking but not authorized to discuss private conversations.

"I do not know what happened to him", Mr. Giuliani said. There were four Russians in the room, including a lawyer with Kremlin ties, a businessman who worked for an oligarch and a lobbyist with old KGB connections.

The 2016 meeting, just ahead of the presidential election, and what the president knew at the time has been up for debate since it was reported by the New York Times.

Trump Jr. said much the same during a behind-closed-doors meeting of the Senate Judiciary Committee. In June, The New York Times revealed that not only had the President known about the statement, but that he had dictated himself. I told Rob that Jared Kushner and our newly hired campaign manager Paul Manafort would likely also attend.

Trump, who is accused at home of being too pliant toward Russian President Vladimir Putin, insists no president has been as "tough" on Russia and denies any collusion between his campaign and Moscow.
