Demi Lovato admitted to hospital for suspected overdose
Singer-songwriter Demi Lovato has been hospitalized following an apparent heroin overdose.
Demi Lovato has been taken to hospital after TMZ reported that the singer was suffering from what seemed to be a heroin overdose.
A representative for the Los Angeles Fire Department also told People they "transported a 25-year-old female patient to a local hospital".
"Sober" does not reveal the nature of Lovato's relapse, but she sings, "I'm sorry for the fans I lost who watched me fall again". She relapsed after she left the treatment center, then entered a sober living facility for a year.
They most recently broke up due to their intense schedules and after realizing she needed to work on herself and that they were better off as friends.
Recalling how she would lie to her management and manipulate situations in order to get drugs, Demi revealed: "I wasn't ready to get sober".
Singles like "Skyscraper", "This Is Me" (a duet with ex-boyfriend Joe Jonas) and "Sorry Not Sorry" firmly established Lovato as a pop music star.

Lovato was scheduled to perform on Thursday in Atlantic City as part of her tour.
Lovato previously completed a stint in rehab at age 18 for drugs, self-harm and an eating disorder before recovering in 2012.
After Demi Lovato's alleged overdose on July 24, her ex Joe Jonas shared a somber statement about his "Camp Rock" co-star.
The star received huge support on Twitter from a number of celebrities, who expressed their sadness at the incident.
"Poor attractive spirit", singer Lily Allen said. "I was very proud of her to see her write that song and put it out".
Brad Paisley said he was praying for his "brave" and "honest" friend, calling addiction "a terrifying disease". "When I was 14, she was an idol to me in how she spoke so openly about mental health".
Lovato's fans also came together in light of her hospitalization, using #PrayForDemi and #StayStrongDemi.
