United States rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine pistol whipped, kidnapped, robbed

Tekashi 6ix 9ine Hospitalized After Being Kidnapped, Pistol Whipped & Robbed

The "Oof" rapper, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, didn't say anything, but defiantly wore a thick gold chain - despite saying Sunday he may swear off jewelry altogether. A auto carrying three hooded men blocked him in, preventing Tekashi's escape, and the robbers dashed from their vehicle, pistol-whipped Tekashi and knocked him out. Hernandez reportedly gave them $US750,000 in jewellery and between $US15,000 and $US20,000 in cash - and then the gunmen forced him back into the vehicle and drove away.

He has one daughter, with his former partner Sara.

What songs has he released?

On Sunday, 6ix9ine, also known as Tekashi 6ix9ine, dropped "FEFE," his new musical collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

However, he shot to fame previous year with his song, Gummo which peaked at number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100.

John Kerry says Trump's slam on Biden 'unbecoming of a president'
Undaunted by the backlash in his own party to his first meeting, Trump invited Putin to a White House meeting sometime this fall. But another USA official called those accusations unfair and said Coats would never try to undercut or embarrass the president.

Earlier this week the rapper was arrested in Texas on charges connected to an incident. However, there are now multiple versions of the story being reported as TMZ's original sources, said to be close to Tekashi, have been said to have related a slightly different version of events from what police say Tekashi offered them. 6ix9ine hasn't said anymore about the case.

He was released from Rikers Island on $150,000 (£114k) bail. This followed a series of videos the rapper uploaded to social media, which show a 13-year-old girl nude and engaged in a sex act with another party while Hernandez is present.

For those unfamiliar, Tekashi 6ix9ine has previously pleaded guilty to one felony count of Use of a Child in a Sexual Performance.

Hernandez allegedly grabbed and squeezed an NYPD lieutenant's hand, causing the lieutenant to "suffer substantial pain", and the officer's fingers to swell and become red, according to a criminal complaint provided by the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office in May.
