Chelsea: Hazard, Courtois futures in board’s hands, says new coach

Miralem Pjanic remains silent over Juve future as Chelsea speculation mounts

New Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has refused to rule out the potential exits of Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois from the club this summer. "I don't want to talk about it and not interested in it".

Belgian stars Hazard and Courtois are both being chased by Real Madrid and have each dropped hints that they could be ready for a move this summer, while England defender Cahill is also unsettled after losing his place at the end of last season.

Thibaut Courtois: The victor of the Golden Glove for best goalkeeper at the World Cup is expected to join Real Madrid for £31m, according to Marca.

'It would be great to be successful with Maurizio and for the club and I will give my best, as I did in the past as a player, so I will give my best in my new position.

"Our task as managers is growing players that we have", he added.

The Premier League has rules about the number of homegrown players each club needs to include in their squad something that Sarri is aware of and will embrace.

All three are not due to rejoin Sarri's squad for another two and a half weeks, their World Cup duties with their countries having only ended at the weekend.

That would leave Sarri in a hard position at Chelsea, especially with three weeks until this year's earlier Deadline Day, which will commence before the first weekend of the new campaign.

President Trump unleashes on British leader - and it’s really bad
Foreign Minister Boris Johnson also resigned citing his disappointment with the proposals, which he said "stick in the throat". The Daily Mail writes that a "rent-a-Lefties" protested in London , and that Mr Trump saw the "best and worst of Britain".

In his first news conference as Blues head coach, Sarri suggested the difference in styles would mean a period of adjustment for the players.

"I spoke with the football club and said ideally I think that a pinch of quality is lacking in our central midfield for a certain kind of play, otherwise they are at a very high level", he said.

Chelsea's pre-season training began under Sarri's predecessor, Antonio Conte. It will take some time to build a different way of playing.

Sarri, whose methods are admired by title winners Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola, said he would not go into the discussions he had had with Abramovich, who has recently been embroiled in a visa dispute with the British authorities.

"Before that I would also like a player to come on the pitch for four or five days with me". I hope I will show this when I am living here. "Then during the season we'll see whether or not we want to have more specific objectives".

Zola told the club's official website: "For me it is an wonderful thing".

"This is a post-World Cup time", said Sarri.
