Netflix is testing a high-end Ultra service package

Netflix might be on the verge of launching its most expensive plan ever

According to a report from Tutto Android, the Ultra subscription tier will be priced at €16.99.

PhoneArena claims some Italian users are already seeing promotional material that describes Premium thusly, and that show the Standard plan, which now allows streaming across two devices simultaneously, being downgraded to one device. Rather than being able to watch Netflix content on four screens simultaneously as it stands now, Premium subscribers might only have support for two screens, while the new Ultra plan will come with support for four displays.

The Ultra plan, that is how Netflix calls it right now, is the most expensive plan up to date. In the U.S., Netflix only offers three plans: $7.99 for Basic, $10.99 for Standard and $13.99 for Premium.

Sergio Ramos posted a attractive Instagram message after Spain lost to Russian Federation
Cesc Fabregas is left "speechless" as Spain exit the 2018 World Cup to hosts Russian Federation on Sunday afternoon. This is Russia's first appearance in the knockout stage of the FIFA World Cup as a standalone nation.

A Netflix spokesperson told CNET that the new tier tests are part of a usual process to understand its customer needs: "We continuously test new things at Netflix and these tests typically vary in length of time", said Smita Saran. Well, it looks like Netflix is testing new stream limitations on Netflix accounts. That's €3 more than what's being offered to some Italian users.

Netflix users could soon have a new subscription plan to choose from. Notably, the Standard tier would also get to one stream from two. The ever-expanding company, which is now led by CEO Reed Hastings, has 125 million memberships in 190 countries. If Netflix applies the new Ultra plan, Premium subscribers might be forced to upgrade if they want to continue having a maximum of 4 simultaneous streams.

In October 2017, Netflix announced some price increases to plans in Ireland, seeing the Standard and Premium plans go up by €1 and €2, respectively. The main difference between Premium and Ultra, according to Variety, is the availability of HDR, also known as high dynamic range, which "provides more vibrant color reproduction and higher contrast".
