Heather Locklear arrested again for battery of a police officer EMT

U.S. actress Heather Locklear has been arrested for battery against a police officer and ambulance worker, the Ventura County Sheriff's Office says.

Ventura County Sheriff's Captain Garo Kuredjian said Locklear was released from jail overnight after posting $20,000 bail.

Locklear, who was said to have been "heavily intoxicated" at the scene, is now being held on $20,000 bail. She then punched the officer who was trying to separate her from members of her family.

The television actress, known for her roles on "Dynasty" and "Melrose Place", was rushed from her house to the hospital, TMZ reported.

"She was extremely intoxicated and at one point she actually kicked a deputy, at which point she was arrested", one cop told Inside Edition.

Locklear has openly struggled with depression, anxiety and substance abuse.
