Cohen Lawyers May Get 10 More Days to Review Seized Documents

Stormy's lawyer uses prop in Cohen debate

Cohen worked with Trump for a decade and is the focus of a criminal investigation by NY federal prosecutors.

"No, he's not my lawyer anymore. I haven't spoken to Michael in a long time". Add Donald Trump as an interest to stay up to date on the latest Donald Trump news, video, and analysis from ABC News.

Prosecutors are investigating Cohen for possible crimes related to his business dealings, a source familiar with the investigation told Reuters in April. The ongoing investigation followed April's FBI raids on Cohen's home, office, and hotel room.

Michael Avenatti, who represents Daniels in separate civil litigation against Cohen and Trump, on Friday tweeted that the encrypted messages and reconstructed documents "could pose a huge problem for Mr. Cohen and ultimately Mr. Trump".

In a court filing Friday afternoon, authorities revealed that the Federal Bureau of Investigation has recently accessed a trove of encrypted data stored on Cohen's phones.

US District Judge S. James Otero said Michael Cohen had failed to provide evidence that he would suffer "irreparable injury" without an immediate restraining order against Michael Avenatti.

New Tesla software to offer 'full' autonomy, Musk says
As to the benefits, Musk noted that "these rocket engines dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking & cornering". Musk has also started to rant against the media for what he perceives to be negative coverage of Tesla .

Avenatti said he would respect the restraining order against him if it is granted, but he called the attempt "an attack on the First Amendment".

Cohen's lawyers did not immediately return a request for comment.

After documents were released by Stormy Daniels's lawyer allegedly linking Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen to a Russian oligarch, many are saying the cases of the porn star and Russian election meddling are converging.

Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, has said she had sex with Trump in 2006 when he was married.

Otero's order did not address the merits of whether a restraining order should be granted. He gave Avenatti until June 25 to formally respond to Cohen, who can reply by July 2.

"Mr. Avenatti's publicity tour, wherein he routinely denigrates Mr. Cohen with claims of alleged criminal conduct, is contrary to the California Rules of Professional Conduct, likely to result in Mr. Cohen being deprived of his right to a fair trial, and threatens to turn what should be a solemn Federal Court proceeding into a media circus", the filing states.
