Michael Rotondo, evicted NY son, moves out after Lego row

Man, 30, ordered evicted from parents’ home by New York judge feels ‘great’ to be leaving

A 30-year-old United States man evicted from his parents' home in a court battle has finally moved out - after calling the police on his dad in a row about Lego.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Michael Rotondo, 30, was ordered to move out of his parents' home by Friday, June 1, after his parents took him to court.

He told reporters on Thursday - after taking a break from packing to "run an errand" on his bike - that he will be keeping his belongings in a self-storage unit nearby until he finds new accommodation, which he hopes will be "someplace low-cost, with internet".

"Rotondo said he called the cops because he believed his son's Legos were in the basement and his dad - who is evicting him - wouldn't let him look for them". Instead of letting him in, his father offered to look for specific items and bring them out if he found them. He failed to persuade the judge to grant him another six months with his parents and was ordered to leave. "While the police were there, the Legos were located and there was no further incident".

Then, Rotondo turned his attention to his Volkswagen Passat, which his parents also wanted moved, and after a few false starts, he was able to get the vehicle moving though he had to hurry - he said the vehicle wasn't circulating any coolant.

On Friday, Rotondo stood outside the place he once called home but had some trouble before then.

White House confirms Kim Kardashian West is visiting to discuss clemency case
Mr Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner has also been speaking with Mrs Kardashian West about the case for months. Kardashian, I am so humbled by what you are doing and have already done on my behalf".

His parents had said goodbye "more or less", he told reporters.

"There are jobs available even for those with a poor work history like you", one letter they sent him reads.

Greenwood ruled in favour of Rotondo's parents, Mark and Christina, setting into motion the 30-year-old's eviction.

"This isn't a game show", he said.

After flying the nest, Mr Rotondo reportedly plans to spend a week at an Airbnb rental in Syracuse - paid for with media appearances stemming from his eviction - before moving in with a distant cousin. "I don't have to guess what's behind door number one".
