Apple working on wireless AR/VR headset…

Details are trickling out about Apple's reported interest in smart glasses

We are expecting a roll-out of WiGig-based accessories this year to enable wireless high-fidelity VR systems, but the report suggests a second generation of this kind of technology might be more in line with Apple's timing.

Up until now, we've only heard whispers of what Apple's AR/VR headset might be like.

Well, the only idea from the rumors sounding very realistic here is running the headset as standalone using a wireless connection to a dedicated box.

After all of Apple's time and energy spent promoting AR, it's interesting to see that the company is (reportedly) combining the technology that overlays digital renders onto the real world (AR) with VR, which takes users into a wholly virtual world.

The development of augmented reality is high on the list of priorities for Apple, as previously revealed by CEO Tim Cook.

Pakistan foreign minister Khawaja Asif disqualified from parliament: Media reports
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif's daughter and senior PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz said Asif was disqualified in a "fixed match". Talking to a private news channel on Thursday, he said that he reserves the right to challenge verdict of the IHC.

The source provided several details regarding the device, which carries the codename T288 and may be much more advanced compared to its competitors in the industry upon launch. The company is aiming to produce a headset that can handle both VR and AR, referred to as combination mixed reality by Microsoft. Moreover, the future VR/AR gadget will render in 8K resolution per each eye, summing a 16K resolution in total.

The source claims that the T288 is still in the early stages of development. The Pimax 8K VR headset that made a big splash on Kickstarter last year, raising millions, will have 8K input but only 4K per eye when it will be released later this year. It's widely thought that the forthcoming Oculus Go will be powered by processors built into the headset, for example.

The headset's box, which resembles a PC tower but will not be an actual Mac computer, will be powered by a custom Apple processor that will be more powerful than all other chips now available.

On the other hand, Intel is also working on their own Wireless VR Headset.

The headset will also have cameras on the outside that will detect its surroundings. In the coming years, the entire technology world will be changed with the Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality technologies.
