SEGA Announces Shenmue 1 & 2 Remasters

Shenmue HD Remaster Announced – Coming to Xbox, PC and PS4

Classic action-adventure games Shenmue and its sequel Shenmue 2 are returning on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC through a two-in-one pack, Sega recently announced.

Besides the 1080p resolution, gamers will be treated to visual options on PC, optimized UI, a choice between modern and classic control schemes, and both English and Japanse audio.

The Shenmue 1 & 2 remasters will be landing both digitally and physically on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. These revolutionary masterpieces deliver a gripping story of retribution as Ryo Hazuki sets out to avenge his father's death and attempts to unravel the secrets behind a mysterious artefact known as the Dragon Mirror.

Shenmue I & II set new standards when it came out on Dreamcast as it featured real-time open worlds that feel alive thanks to day-to-night cycles and weather changes, with a population of civilians who follow their own schedules.

Here's when the best chance of severe weather will be on Sunday
Temperatures Sunday morning will drop into the mid-40s with wind chills likely threatening the upper 30s in a few spots. Some thunderstorms may pop up early Sunday afternoon in inland spots along the fast-moving sea breeze.

Aside from the pricing, Koralik also stated in his video that developer D3t Ltd. will be handling the new releases of the games, who previously worked on titles such as Killzone: Shadow Fall, LawBreakers, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and many others.

The physical and digital editions will be available to pre-order from first party stores, Steam and USA and EMEA retailers soon.

We knew it was coming - Sega's been teasing us for a couple of years now - but this is the first time we've had definitive confirmation.
