Really? Man City boss Guardiola fears Man Utd 'can win the league'

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has warned that Manchester United could still overhaul his side in the Premier League title race.

Aguero had been out for a month prior to last week's Manchester derby, in which he emerged from the bench and appeared to be fouled by Manchester United's Ashley Young late on - only for referee Martin Atkinson to wave away penalty appeals.

The Manchester United full-back was not punished for the studs-up tackle, which left Aguero floored late in the second half.

With the sting of losing to their local rivals only intensified by the missed opportunity to laud it over them for all time, City then followed up with a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool and a 5-1 loss in the Champions League on aggregate.

"Aguero is injured", Guardiola said. "We can not forget he was injured for one month", Guardiola said. "He could not train", Guardiola told reporters on Friday. If we lose it will be in the same way we tried to play against United and Liverpool. That is why he couldn't play from the beginning. The people talk a lot, not knowing exactly what happened before the game.

Argentina global Aguero came off the bench as City attempted to salvage their Champions League tie with Liverpool on Tuesday. The Reds have been handed a last-four tie with Serie A club Roma, who shocked the football world by overturning a 3-1 first leg defeat to send Leo Messi and Barcelona packing.

Tabloid paid out $30K to spike story alleging Trump love child
They were said to have downed tools shortly after Sajudin passed a lie-detector test to establish how he heard the rumor. Ultimately, he said the information "lacked any credibility", so he spiked the story on those merits.

"He played the last 20 minutes [against Liverpool] and after the game said: 'I can not run, I have a lot of pain, I can not run.' I don't know about Swansea [City, on Sunday-week] if he'll be ready but hopefully for the last games if we need him and especially for the World Cup".

"What I say to the players is, and they show you every day, in every game that it's not done because if it was done they wouldn't play the way they play. It is going to be a hard game for us". "Because if it was done they would not play the way they play", Guardiola added.

Benjamin Mendy is still recovering from a long-term cruciate knee ligament injury, John Stones has been ruled out with a thigh problem, and Fernandinho is suspended.

Next week, a repeat of this fixture takes place at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup semi-finals. "So, we have to do it, like we have all season". We're 13 points ahead plus (a better) goal difference and we deserve to be there. The Saints, 18th in the table and three points adrift of safety, have just one league win to their name in 19 attempts.

When asked when City's all-time leading goalscorer might be able to return, Guardiola suggested that Aguero is also a doubt for Swansea City's visit to the Etihad on April 22 and may only be ready for "the last games" of the campaign. "But it doesn't depend on the United result, it's in our hands, it's up to us to win our games, and we are able to win two games". United, while still miles behind their nemeses, can afford for City to win one more match before May.

"If you judge results, okay: judge results", he said. Now their task is to register five points from the remaining six games. That's why we are there. But in one week we lost three games, that happened.
