His biological daughter, whom he illegally married last July, 20-year-old Katie Pladl, was found dead in CT along with her adoptive father, 56-year-old Anthony Fusco.

Authorities in CT said Thursday afternoon that a double murder-suicide in New Milford linked to the death of an infant who was found dead at a home in North Carolina that belongs to a Henrico County father and daughter charged with incest.

"We may never understand the mindset or motives of Steven Pladl, but we do know his actions have shattered the lives of countless people", Capps, the Knightdale police chief, said in a Facebook post. Former wife Alyssa was 17 and Steven was 22 when they had Katie and opted to put her up for adoption. They were living at the North Carolina home at the time of their arrest in January, according to the station, but it wan't immediately clear if they are now residing there. "He killed his baby and he's in the house", a woman, identified by police as Pladl's mother, told dispatchers.

Pladl had contacted his daughter's adoptive family in the Dutchess County community of Wingdale on Wednesday night and said he would be coming to see them, according to Shawn Boyne, chief of police in New Milford, Conn. Katie Pladl and Fusco were shot as they were out running errands.

After their January detain, Steven was let go on a $1 million bail after she published a $ 12,000 secured bond, however, his daughter remained before late February in the Oval County Detention Center, the Daily Mail reported.

Thursday morning, police in Connecticut, North Carolina and NY found themselves at three crime scenes.

"He left the baby dead", the caller said. "Due to the risky threat to the safety of the child police set out a plan to rescue the little girl and arrest the male and one of our officers successfully caught the girl as she was flung", police spokesman Capt. Andre Beetge told local media, according to the Daily Mail.

Just before midnight on Wednesday evening, police said Steven called his mother and informed her he was taking the baby to see Katie in NY. Police said the child died as a result of a homicide, but they have not released the cause of death.

"We're trying to make sense of all of the factors that led up to this senseless taking of life", Capps said.

In September 2017, Katie and Steven gave birth to Bennet.

A U.S. man in an incest case has reportedly killed his biological daughter, their child, and the girl's adopted father, before killing himself. The arrests came after the couple reportedly got married. They had both doted over the newborn on Instagram.

The mother of an infant thrown off a roof by its father was taken into police custody on Friday. The conditions of his bond were later amended to allow him to travel to North Carolina. Steven was court-ordered to stay away from Katie. The mother of the child was Katie Pladl, 20, who was Steven Pladl's biological daughter and his wife.
