Arizona officials announced they were sending 225 National Guard members to the border Monday and pledged to deploy another 113 on Tuesday.

Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas all made new pledges that add up to nearly half of the up to 4,000 troops Trump requested.

Title 32 units typically act in law enforcement roles, but the Trump administration has said guardsmen in this deployment - as in previous deployments to the border under Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama - will be limited to support roles and will not be making arrests themselves.

New Mexico has not yet deployed any National Guard members to the U.S. -Mexico border in response to President Donald Trump's call to use troops to fight illegal immigration and drug trafficking.

"I don't think this is a partisan issue or an identity issue", he said.

Joel Villarreal, the mayor of Rio Grande City in Texas, said he did not agree with what he characterized as "the militarization of the border".

Gov. Doug Ducey addressed part of the force at Papago Park Military Reservation.

After plunging at the start of Trump's presidency, the numbers of migrants apprehended at the southwest border have started to rise in line with historical trends. Organizers said they never meant to go to the USA border. Jerry Brown, who has not announced whether troops from his state's National Guard will participate.

New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez's office talked about that larger than 80 troops would deploy later this week.

World Health Day observed to spread awareness about health & well being
According to a report in WHO, at least half of the world's population do not have full coverage of basic health services. UHC means that all people and communities receive the health services they need without suffering financial hardship.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott told San Antonio radio station KTSA that he would add about 300 troops a week until the total number reaches at least 1,000 troops.

California and New Mexico, the two other states bordering Mexico, have not made public commitments to sending Guard members.

There is not a end date for the deployment, Abbott talked about: "We may be on this for the prolonged haul".

"Arizona welcomes the deployment of National Guard to the border". SC sent troops to the border during Operation Jump Start, the border deployment ordered by Bush in 2006.

On Monday, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Blackhawk helicopter was in in the Roma area.

El Paso Sector Chief Patrol Agent Aaron Hull says those troops are nowhere near deploying yet.

Mr Brown's spokesman, Evan Westrup, said California officials still were reviewing Mr Trump's troop request.

The New Mexico Guard members could help with air support, surveillance and infrastructure repairs, Hull said.

"The state of Arizona must not be used as a political pawn that will leave visitors questioning the safety of our state", he said in his letter to Ducey. But the ministry said it will be watching to make sure the border does not become more militarized than it already is.
