Record breaking lows possible Sunday morning… Snow arrives by Sunday evening

Tornado Awareness Week begins

There is a chance for some light rain in the later afternoon and evening hours and even flurries in our northern counties.

After a cold Saturday morning across the QCA, which featured near record low temperatures, we now turn our attention towards the potential of accumulating snowfall for our Sunday evening into Monday morning.

Tuesday should be the start of a warming trend with mostly sunny skies, a high near 44 and northwest winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Rain/snow showers will continue overnight, then move out early Sunday morning. A cold front will cross the region this morning.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 52. However, after noon is when those light, scattered snow showers return. It will still be breezy and chilly, with daytime temperatures reaching only into the mid-40s, Avery said. Other than some snow showers lifting over the mountains behind a cold front, I think Monday is probably the last snow event we'll deal with until sometime late in the year. Tomorrow's high is 55 degrees. Clouds will thin out and will give way to some sunshine to end off the day!

Key events in rapid escalation of US-China trade dispute
The proposal is in retaliation for China's announcement of tariffs on US products like soybeans, beef, pork, and some airplanes. Financial markets, unsettled for days by the trade fight and Trump's management of it, whipsawed again on the new threat.

Hopefully it will clear out by next Sunday with highs in the lower 40s.

We'll have a chance for a few showers late Friday.

The good news? Temperatures will bounce back to at or above normal - perhaps pushing 70 degrees - by Wednesday.

"When are we finally going to have the weather feel like Spring for more than one day?" High tide will be at 2.53am and 3.18pm, while low tide will be at 9.36am and 9.06pm.

The moisture doesn't look very thick, and Monday will warm above freezing, so we're not talking about big amounts or long-lasting problems.
