UFC Fights Cancelled After Conor McGregor Attacks Rival Fighters' Bus

UFC fighter Conor McGregor has been released on bail after appearing in a NY court charged with three counts of assault over an alleged bus attack.

McGregor spent Thursday night in a Brooklyn police station, after surrendering, and was escorted to a criminal court in handcuffs.

Video footage appears to show the promotion's most bankable star throwing a hand truck at a bus full of fighters after a news conference for UFC 223 at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.

Police confirmed that McGregor has been charged with three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief, and that fellow MMA fighter Cian Cowley, 25, has been charged with one count of assault and one count of criminal mischief.

UFC fighter Conor McGregor was released from police custody on Friday after being arraigned on charges from Thursday's bus attack. Michael Chiesa was sitting at the window on the bus which Mcgregor broke with a dolly, so he was hospitalized and later deemed unsafe to fight against Anthony Pettis due to the number of cuts on his head.

Michael Chiesa, who received "several facial cuts", tweeted to say the New York State Athletic Commission had chose to pull him from his bout against Anthony Pettis.

If former UFC champion McGregor is looking for help from the organisation, he is out of luck, UFC president Dana White said on Friday.

Narendra Modi betrayed Andhra Pradesh by denying special status, says Chandrababu Naidu
He also met leaders from different parties to generate support over getting Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh. Naidu said. "Ambition to grow is one thing but doing things this way is not acceptable, not a correct approach".

White has been critical of McGregor since the incident, calling it "the most disgusting thing that has ever happened" in UFC history and questioning McGregor's thinking and behavior. "No, this is not the Conor McGregor, is not the Conor McGregor I know". "I mean, this is embarrassing for the sport and obviously for the UFC".

McGregor told White that he was apologetic about upsetting or injuring other fighters on the bus, but he did not express remorse about the incident itself, according to White. This is the furthest thing from a stunt.

"This is way bigger than 'are you going to fire the guy?' This is criminal", he said.

Their matchup was one of the richest boxing bouts of all time.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor is in custody in NY following a van-smashing rampage at a press event.

White said the assault took place due to bad blood between McGregor and Nurmagomedov, a Russian fighter who was scheduled to fight for McGregor's vacated belt as the main event for Saturday's fight.

After the incident, social media blew up with criticisms, excuses and conspiracy theories suggesting the melee was a publicity stunt. McGregor had been the current titleholder, but White had chosen to strip him of the title over an internal dispute involving McGregor holding titles in two weight classes simultaneously.
