Apple will claim it invented the curved screen soon

For what it's worth, Apple (and other companies) work on technology like this all the time, though not everything makes it to the consumer. According to Bloomberg, the new features are touchless gesture controls and curved displays. As I covered yesterday, touchless gesture control features are reportedly being developed for upcoming iPhones, and Apple is supposedly even testing a new iPhone design that is curved instead of flat, like every iPhone that has been released so far. Most probably, this feature will allow users to control their devices by simply moving their finger close to the display, without touching the panel. However, there is no word on how these new gestures would be integrated into iOS software. But with the chief Apple rumormonger, Mark Gurman, now at Bloomberg, a reputable news source, these stories take on a new air of respectability. The company has been sharing condensed informational videos on its new products left and right this past year, and the new, 6th-gen iPad with Apple Pencil support is no exception. There is also no word on whether Apple will actually bring these capabilities into the market. While the use of such a scenario hasn't been explained anywhere, it's expected that Apple could be doing something to make a more immersive viewing experience for one of its iPhones in the future. This is pretty different from Samsung's Air Gesture feature that debuted on the Galaxy S4 a few years ago, where Samsung embedded a motion sensor to detect gestures from a particular distance.

OLED, by contrast, the material found on the iPhone X and current-generation Apple Watch, is a light-emitting diode containing thin flexible sheets of an organic electroluminescent material. Apple as always has not made any comments on this issue, so we would have to wait to see if the report eventually turns out to be legit.
