Arsène Wenger rates Arsenal's chances against CSKA Moscow as 50/50

Arsenal

Winning the Europa League is the Gunners' last realistic hope of returning to the competition next term and they can strengthen those chances with a strong showing in the first leg of the quarter-finals on Thursday.

Wenger confirmed he has everyone available for selection for the crucial match including Alexandre Lacazette.

Arsene Wenger's side look set for their lowest Premier League finish in over a decade.

Veteran Arsenal manager Wenger is well aware of what is at stake.

When asked about the issue on Wednesday, Wenger held his cards close to his chest, saying: 'Who starts in goal?

"I'm not anxious about that, the crowd when something is at stake is always behind us", said Wenger. I don't know yet. Look, I picked a team who has two opportunities: one to win the game and secondly for some players who traveled a lot, played two global games to recover.

"Basically we have everybody available, I think", he said.

Israeli PM to cancel deal to resettle migrants
A Canadian minister said that Canada was already in contact with UNHCR and Israel about accepting more refugees. A lot of them entered from Egypt several years ago, before a new fence was built along the desert border.

"There's some extra pressure on us to do extremely well in this competition but that's part of being where we are".

CSKA Moscow are expected to bring only around 500 fans and, while Arsenal are confident about their security arrangements, Wenger also outlined a hope that the heightened political tension between England and Russian Federation would not impact upon any supporter.

The game will be played amid of backdrop of diplomatic unrest between the two nations, heightening fears of potential trouble.

"Now, they are looking at the club falling away and nothing being done".

Wenger has repeatedly been the subject of calls for him to leave from the stands, but he is unconcerned by the prospect of the atmosphere affecting his team's performance in the first leg against CSKA before heading to Russian Federation.

Following the decision by some fans of the club to stay away from the Emirates Stadium due to the team's poor performance so far this season, Wenger expressed confidence that it would not affect his players come Thursday.

When I heard I could swap Manchester United for Arsenal, I said, "Yes, I want to do that", I didn't think twice.
