Blizzard is teasing the next Overwatch Uprising event which kicks off on Tuesday, April 10.
Like last year's event, players can expect some kind of new mode alongside a bevy of new skins, emotes, and more collectible items to unlock, while also getting a chance to experience a bit more of the backstory behind the game's set of characters and their history together.
Fed up with being told not to intervene, Overwatch's commander disobeyed orders by dispatching agents Tracer, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Torbjörn into the heart of the uprising. The "Uprising" event will also feature the return of previous event skins such as the Overwatch strike team uniforms, Null Sector skins for Bastion and Orisa, Blackwatch skins for Genji and McCree, and the Talon skin for Widowmaker. While these, along with several other teams around the world who competed in the highest tier of competition prior to the Contenders restructure, were offered invitations to the first season of Contenders in 2018, they will have to fight to avoid future relegation like any other team. Will we be seeing this top secret mission during the new Uprising event? However, it appears that Blizzard has something extra in store.
Did you see anything interesting in the tweet? These ideas stem from how the words in the teaser briefly change with some noise, from "File 00382 - King's Row Uprising" to "00273 - King's Row Uprising", and "Entered into record 7 years go" to "Entered into record 8 years ago". Until April 10, however, all we can do is wait and speculate with excitement. The date also changes from seven years ago, to eight.
What do all these clues mean?
