The cast also includes Jude Law as Carol Danvers' mentor Doctor Walter Lawson, aka Mar-Vell, Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn as a still-undisclosed villain, Gemma Chan as Kree Minn-Erva, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte and McKenna Grace.

Captain Marvel is slated to hit theaters on March 8, 2019. With Avengers: Infinity War poised to break all kinds of records itself, Marvel continues to set the bar high and the highly anticipated debut film of Captain Marvel will continue to take things to the next level. Additionally, and this is a fun little addition, Clark Gregg is coming back as Agent Coulson presumably alongside the already confirmed non-eyepatch wearing Samuel L. Jackson.

Los Angeles will serve as the film's primary production home, but it will also shoot in Fresno, California and Louisiana. They'll reprise their roles as Kree aliens, Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer, respectively.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, three supporting MCU characters will return for the upcoming Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson, and it's largely thanks to the fact that the flick is set in the '90s.

Meanwhile, Brie has previously spoken about her desire to play powerful parts and she hopes to do this particular character justice when it comes to inspiring other women.
