Trump Telephones Putin to Congratulate him on Re-Election

Donald Trump was given stern instructions from his national security team - "DO NOT CONGRATULATE" Vladimir Putin on his recent re-election that came after Russian Federation launched an alleged attack in the United Kingdom that left a former spy dead.

They also stressed the importance of joint efforts to limit an arms race and boost economic cooperation after a Russian spy attack row with Britain plunged relations with the West into a new crisis.

In speaking with reporters on Tuesday, Donald Trump said he and Vladimir Putin planned to have another meeting sometime in the near future to discuss the "arms race".

"I had a call with President Putin and congratulated him on his electoral victory", Trump said, two days after Putin's re-election.

Trump also confirmed that he had a "very good" phone call with Putin.

Mr Trump said the arms race between the U.S. and Russian Federation was "getting out of control ... but we will never allow anybody to have anything close to what we have".

The British government has blamed Moscow for the attack with a military-grade nerve agent.

He hasn't been at the forefront of other Avengers movies, but he certainly has a very important role in this film. The untitled sequel, presently dubbed Avengers 4 , is slated to premiere on May 3, 2019.

The president also said he would talk to Putin about both countries' operations in Ukraine, Syria and North Korea, but didn't elaborate on specific foreign policy proposals regarding those countries. Trump's overture to Putin was criticized by top Republican senators: Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said there was a "lack of credibility in tallying the result".

Trump's administration last week accused Russia of hacking into America's energy grid and approved the first sanctions on Russian entities and individuals for alleged meddling in the 2016 USA election.

French President Emmanuel Macron wished Mr Putin success in "modernising Russia", but urged Moscow to shed light on the "unacceptable" attempted assassination of an ex-spy in Britain.

Russian Federation denies meddling and Trump says there was no collusion. "And by doing so with Vladimir Putin, President Trump insulted every Russian citizen who was denied the right to vote in a free and fair election".

"The leaders spoke out in favor of developing practical cooperation in various spheres including the issues of ensuring strategic stability and the fight against global terrorism", the statement added. Relations between the two countries instead have remained tense amid the allegations of Russian meddling in the 2016 USA presidential election and the investigations of whether there was collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia.

Putin of Russian Federation was re-elected this week. "We can only focus on the freeness and fairness of our elections".

Be that as it may, Putin is now basking in the glory of a handsome victory that propped him to the highest post with 76 per cent of the vote. London has blamed Moscow for the attack, a charge Russian Federation denies.
