Bride en route to wedding arrested for DUI after crash

An Arizona woman who was on her way to her own wedding was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Monday, reports The Associated Press.

A photo of a bride getting arrested for DUI en route to her wedding is going viral.

Scott tweeted, 'A driver was arrested for DUI this AM while driving to her wedding.

The Marana Police Department tweeted a photo showing the bride-to-be being detained at the scene. Police believed she was impaired.

According to Scott, Young was released after "submitting to a blood draw". She was then released to her fiance after signing a criminal citation.

Sgt. Scott added that a person in one of the other vehicles was treated at a local hospital for minor injuries.

"However, Arizona law allows for your license to be suspended if there is alcohol concentration less than 0.08 percent in the case of slight impairment". Young has apparently not spoken so far with any media outlets in the aftermath of the incident - nor evidently has any legal counsel that she might have retained.
