Richard Sherman describes his free agency as an "ongoing process"

Richard Sherman #25 of the Seattle Seahawks lines up against the Los Angeles Rams at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum

Free agent cornerback Richard Sherman, fresh off his departure from the Seattle Seahawks, is already lining u free agent visits. The days of an Achilles tear being an immediate career-ender are long past, but for a cornerback who never had outstanding deep speed-and is less than three weeks from his 30th birthday-it's hard to think he'll be back to top form before the season starts.

No player more than Sherman reflected the intensity of the 49ers-Seahawks rivalry when the NFC West rivals jostled from 2011-13 was at its zenith.

Richard Sherman reportedly is moving closer to finding a new home. Sherman went viral in January 2014 for using that same quote, which comes from Game of Thrones. But some players, including former Panthers defenders Jon Beason and Charles Godfrey, needed two seasons before they returned to their pre-Achilles surgery form.

Sherman told the NFL Network's Tom Pelissero he was looking for a team that has a "great quarterback" and a place he will be comfortable.

Prison time for 'Pharma Bro'
He was convicted last August of lying to his investors and trying to manipulate his company's stock prices. In addition to serving time, Shkreli also owes money.

Sherman is now an unrestricted free agent and free to negotiate and sign with another team. The team has a talented corner in Darius Slay. Neiko Thorpe is also under contract for the 2018 season (though there has been some speculation he could also be a salary cap casualty). Sherman was scheduled to earn an $11.4 base salary in 2018.

It is not yet clear how the four-time All-Pro defensive back will bounce back from his Achilles injury.

Let me just say that if Sherman is basing his free agency decision on who recruited the best through Twitter, then he's definitely going to sign with the Buccaneers.
