Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Casper Area

Folks living on the southern edge of the precipitation shield may see some mixing to light rain.

After almost nine inches of snow fell Friday, more is expected - up to 3 inches on Sunday for areas south of M-59, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for portions of central, north-central and northeast IL, as well as parts of northwest Indiana. The system is expected to be out of east-central Kansas by daybreak.

The flood watch begins 6 p.m. Saturday and will run through Sunday evening.

Freezing drizzle mixed with snow is possible now through 3 a.m., the weather service said. Slick conditions were also reported by authorities in Greenwood and Morris counties.
